Avand in vedere numeroasele modificari legislative introduse in 2014, aceasta editie a studiului pune accent pe descrierea contextului legislativ, precum si a surselor de finantare disponibile investitorilor si a obstacolelor si constrangerilor potentiale.

Prezentul raport reprezinta cea de a patra editie a unei analize anuale realizate de TPA Horwath Romania si Schoenherr si Asociatii SCA si publicate in parteneriat cu Asociatia Romana pentru Energie Eoliana.

TPA Horwath and Schoenherr si Asociatii have launched the 2014 edition of the “Wind Energy andOther Renewable Energy Sources in Romania” report
TPA Horwath Romania and Schoenherr si Asociatii SCA have launched the latest edition of their Wind Energy and Other Renewable Energy Sources in Romania report, the latest and most extensive analysis of the wind energy sector in Romania. The report places Romania fifth in Europe in terms of the amount of capacity installed in 2013, with a 36.5% increase in installed wind energy capacity over the previous year.
According to the Global Wind Energy Council, the wind energy sector continued its expansion in 2013, albeit at a slower rate than for the previous year. In Europe, Germany and the UK were the market leaders, while Romania, Portugal, Poland and Sweden confirmed their status as emerging markets with another significant contribution in 2013.
Romania ranked fifth in Europe in terms of new wind power capacity installed, with a contribution of 695 MW that brought its TOTAL capacity to 2599 MW by the end of 2013, representing a year-on-year growth of 36%.
The electricity generated by wind farms in 2013 covered 8% of total electricity consumption in Romania. This figure is likely to reach 9% by the end of 2014, rising further to 10% in 2015 on account of the fact that any wind farms commissioned in 2014 will operate throughout the whole of 2015.
At the end of October 2014 Romania had a total installed wind energy capacity of 2,967 MW. The Romanian wind industry will end the year with an overall installed capacity of 3,000 MW, an increase of 400 MW over the previous year.
The Wind Energy and Other Renewable Energy Sources in Romania report is an efficient business intelligence tool for investors and analysts in the field. It provides key information on the renewables sector in Romania from a European and global perspective, while addressing both financial and legal issues, as well as the operational context.
The 2014 edition of the report contains the latest figures for the wind energy market and also includes an assessment of other renewable energy sources, such as solar, hydro, biomass and geothermal. In light of the many legislative changes introduced in 2014, this latest edition of the report provides a comprehensive overview of the regulatory environment, financing sources, investor challenges and business limitations on the Romanian market.
This is the fourth edition of this annual report by TPA Horwath Romania and Schoenherr si Asociatii and is published in partnership with the Romanian Wind Energy Association.
