BDR Thermea Group acquires majority stake in Eurevia
Acquisition enables the BDR Thermea Group to offer intelligent integrated heating, cooling, and indoor air-quality solutions in combination with heat pumps .
BDR Thermea Group, a leading global manufacturer of smart indoor climate solutions, has acquired a majority stake in heating and air conditioning company Eurevia, expanding its portfolio of energy-transition solutions for new builds.
Eurevia is a leading French developer and manufacturer of ducted heating and cooling systems for residential and commercial new builds, as well as cruise ships. Its connected solutions provide heating, cooling, and air filtration via ducted systems that allow users to control the temperature and indoor air quality in each area or zone.
Eurevia’s product portfolio includes air-handling units, diffusers, and smart controls that, when integrated with a heat pump, allow for maximum efficiency, while ensuring a comfortable and silent air flow. Air-handling units are among the most energy-efficient ways to provide heating, cooling, and air filtration on a room-to-room basis (zoning).
Headquartered in La Ciotat, Eurevia has 40 employees and sells its solutions in France, Belgium and Switzerland. The company will continue to operate under its own name, as a subsidiary of BDR Thermea France.
“Eurevia’s product portfolio is a great addition to our energy-transition solutions for new builds. Heat pumps play a key role in the decarbonisation of buildings. By bringing Eurevia into the BDR Thermea Group, we can offer customers an integrated solution that combines the low-carbon technology of heat pumps, with the high efficiency of fan-coil technology,” says Bertrand Schmitt, CEO of BDR Thermea Group.
