Micro Nano MEMs 2014 (NEC, Birmingham, September 30th-October 1st) will be hosting two days of free, world class seminars featuring experts from the field of micro manufacturing.
In a busy two-day programme, speakers from leading companies and research institutes will cover a wide range of technical and operational issues. The programme has been designed to appeal to a broad range of industrial professionals from all branches of micro, precision, MEMs and nano manufacturing. As with the exhibition, entry to the seminar sessions is completely free, making this an extremely rare opportunity to hear world-class speakers outline the latest ideas.
The programme opens with Tom Carr of the Zepler Institute, a multidisciplinary research centre for electronics, photonics, nanoscience and quantum technologies, outline current research activities and opportunities for collaboration; Enric Sirera, Sales Director at Ultrasion shares the company`s latest innovations in micro-moulding technology while Dr Nadeem Rizvi, managing director, Laser Micromachining provides a practical guide to laser manufacturing.

John Graves of Coventry University looks at the application of copper nanoparticles in electronics manufacturing while Martin Kemp of Haydale assesses plasma functionalization, the enabling technology for the commercialisation of graphene.
On day two Nike Casanova, CEO, Femtoprint explains 3D printing for glass microdevices while the MD of Nanoscribe, Martin Hermatschweiller, presents a paper on 3D printing and laser lithography - from nano-via micro- to mesoscale fabrication.
Pulsed fiber lasers have only just passed a decade of industrial adoption and the roll call of achievements is truly impressive. Dr Jack Gabzydl, SPI Lasers talks about the application versatility of these lasers.
