In cazul in care preocuparile estetice va retin de la cumpararea unor panouri solare pentru a le monta pe acoperis, designerul olandez designer Ruben Beijer din cadrul Stafier Holland a creat un sistem de panouri solare cu montare pe acoperis foarte putin vizibil. In locul montarii cu ajutorul unui sistem de fixare, aceste placi inlocuiesc complet tiglele de pe casa, fiind optimizate si pozitionate la aproape acelasi nivel cu acoperisul.

Sistemului fotovoltaic PV Premium i-a fost conferit premiul 2013 Best of the Best Red Dot Design Award.

O singura placa are marimea a patru tigle, putand genera pana la 55W energie electrica. Compania olandeza sustine ca sistemul poate fi utilizat la aproape orice tip de acoperis, utilizand foi de aluminiu pentru etansarile dintre panourile solare de tiglele obisnuite. Un sistem de ventilatie aflat in partea din spate a placilor ajuta la a le mentine reci.

Pe langa montarea in structuri noi si existente, sistemul fotovoltaic este rezistent la apa, fiind testat in vederea durabilitatii la furtuni cu descarcari electrice.

Thin Solar Panels Barely Noticeable
Though they appear to be extremely thin PV panels, they are in fact set into the roof, replacing the tiles that were there. The Dutch company claims the system works with more or less any sort of roof, and uses aluminum sheets to create a seal between your solar panels and ordinary tiles. A panel the size of four tiles can generate up to 55 W of electrical power.
According to Red Dot, which recently gave Stafier a design award for the product, the system has been tested under rainstorm conditions in a wind tunnel and found to be weatherproof. A ventilation system built into the rear of the tile helps keep them cool, as though PV panels like light, heat actually compromises their efficiency.
The PV Premium photovoltaic in-roof system was awarded a 2013 Best of the Best Red Dot Design Award.
