Join us in Vienna for the 23rd European Biomass Conference and Exhibition, the leading international platform for dialogue between research, industry, policy and the business of biomass.

The high quality of the EUBCE stems from combining one of the largest biomass science and technology conferences with a leading biomass industry and technology exhibition, attracting the entire professional biomass community from around the globe.
The key focus of the 23rd EUBCE will be interaction between research, industry and policy makers. The programme will offer overviews of the latest scientific findings, industrial progress and political landscape and will extend from biomass itself to conversion processes for biofuels, bioenergy and biorefineries and to the industrial applications and impacts on the environment.

Take this opportunity to present your latest results to specialists and decision makers from around the world and submit your abstract (http://www.eubce.com/Call-for-Abstracts.2517.0.html#.U_Wx9fl_tQ8) by 27 October 2014.

About the event
The European Biomass Conference and Exhibition (EUBCE) is an annual event which, since 1980, is held at different venues throughout Europe. It is Europe`s largest international conference focused on biomass combining a highly-respected international scientific conference with an industrial exhibition and gathers participants from research, industry, policy and finance.

Why the EUBCE in Vienna?

The Messe Wien Exhibition & Congress Center is a inner city location, served by two underground stations and just 20 minutes by car from Vienna International Airport. It is located in an idyllic setting between the Prater park and the nearby Danube.
• Austria has a long established and acknowledged tradition in research and implementation of sustainable bioenergy systems. Vienna hosts some of the world`s most active research organizations in the biomass sector
• Austria is a world leader in the efficient use of wood for heating, cooling and combined heat and power at small and large scale, and several providers of advanced technologies for biomass pre-treatment and use are located in Austria.
• Austria is also becoming a leading country in the efficient production and use of agricultural biogas, with over 300 plants already in operation producing 550 GWh of electricity annually and a rapidly increasing number of biogas upgrading units injecting biomethane into the natural gas grid.
• Vienna is an important trading hub for wood products and wood pellets and represents a strategic venue to interact with experts from Eastern European countries with abundant biomass resources and a considerable potential for bioenergy development.

Covering the entire range of the Biomass value chain, including research, technologies and applications, the Conference Programme is focusing on the most recent scientific, technological and market-related developments. The Conference will be structured along the following main subjects:

1. Biomass Resources
2. Biomass Conversion Technologies for Heating, Cooling and Electricity
3. Biomass Conversion Technologies For Liquid And Gaseous Fuels, Chemicals And Materials
4. Biomass Policies, Markets and Sustainability
5. Bioenergy in Integrated Energy Systems
