The largest water-related event in the world will open 12-17 April 2015 in Daegu & Gyeongbuk, putting water firmly on the international agenda. A three-year preparatory process will culminate in one week of sessions, debates and cultural activities, where water experts come together with policy makers and civil society. In the 7th World Water Forum, various issues will be discussed through thematic, political, regional, and science & technology processes. In addition to these Forum discussions, a Citizen`s Forum, including youth activities, cultural events, side events and a Water Expo & Fair will offer additional opportunities to engage in the 7th World Water Forum.

Some 35,000 participants from about 170 countries – heads of states, public agencies, international organizations, enterprises, academia, civil society, NGOs, journalists, citizens etc. – are expected to participate in the 7th World Water Forum.
Participants can now register for the 7th World Water Forum to gain access to the venue during the Forum week. So as to offer opportunities for people from all horizons to attend the Forum, the prices of entrance fees have been developed according to different categories of participants: those from developed countries, from developing countries, students and NGOs. More about the 7th World Water Forum: “Water for our future”
The 7th edition of the world`s largest water event will gather participants from around the globe, focusing on the implementation of the solutions that were identified during the 6th edition (Marseille, France, 2012). The legacy the 7th World Water Forum will therefore include:
•  Moving from solutions to implementation
•  Bridging the platform of science & technology to water issues
•  Ensuring a significant place for water in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Necessitating two years of collaborative preparation with stakeholders from around the world, the Forum consists of 4 preparatory processes within a common framework, so as to catalyze collective action and positive change.

The 7th World Water Forum is jointly organized by the World Water Council and the Republic of Korea together with the city of Daegu and the Province of Gyeongbuk.
About the World Water Council
